The award-winning Lorpen T3+ Inferno Biowarmer Crew Sock is their super heavy-duty outdoor sock for use in the most extreme cold conditions when mountaineering, arctic expeditions, backpacking and hiking.

The world's first technical sock made with biodegradable fabrics, this means once you have surpassed the sock's useful life span and thrown them away, in time the sock will break down and not become permanent litter, eventually leaving no trace on the planet. How great is that!

One of the very few socks that are not knitted, but sewn together from individual pieces of fabric. In doing so, Lorpen combines Sensil BioCare fabric with PrimaloftBio insulation as filling. The seams are also made using Sensil BioCare but in the form of a yarn. The cuff has been made from chlorine-free wool.

Featuring PrimaLoft® Eco polyester yarn, a blend of 30% PrimaLoft® fibres and 70% PCR materials, providing an environmentally sustainable alternative to yarns made solely from virgin fibre. Used as the next-to-skin layer in our merino-based Lorpen Tri-Layer socks, PrimaLoft® Eco is soft, non-absorbing and very effective at moisture transport. Also features Merino wool finely crimped and soft wool with staples (fibre lengths) that are commonly 65 – 100 mm (2.5 – 4 inches) long and less than 24 microns in diameter. The core of a merino fibre is hydrophilic (water retaining) and is breathable. The fine micron diameter ensures it feels soft and comfortable next to the skin. Merino can help keep the foot warm in winter and cool in summer.
