The Petzl Nomic is a well balanced winter tool that is designed specifically for ice climbing and offers an exceptional swing.

Coming equipped with Masselottes pick weights that help balance the swing of the axe for a more efficient stick in ice, the Petzl Nomic Ice Axe sets the standard for a tool developed for ice climbing. These weights can then be removed to lighten up the axe for dry tooling use and the head can also be fitted with an optional adze or hammer (not supplied) making the Nomic a viable alpine or Scottish winter tool too.

The PUR'ICE pick can be placed efficiently in any type of ice. The shape of the ice axe and the double handle offer multiple grip modes, as well as stable hand switching and protection from contact with the ice. The grip is comfortable thanks to the handle ergonomics and the adjustable hand-rest. Featuring a minimalist hammer, the head is protected and allows the user to hammer a piton back in. Entirely modular, the ice axe can be optimised for changing terrain.
